Product Analyst

About This Role

This role focuses on analyzing product performance data to identify trends, risk factors, and profitability drivers, particularly for travel insurance products. The Product Analyst will contribute to the design and enhancement of these products, ensuring they remain competitive and compliant with Canadian regulations.

Responsibilities

• Analyze product performance data to identify trends, risk factors, profitability drivers, and operational opportunities
• Conduct deep-dive analyses to identify the root cause of performance issues or emerging trends (e.g., claims patterns, conversion changes, distribution shifts)
• Conduct competitive landscape reviews, including product features, pricing, distribution channels, and emerging trends in travel insurance
• Contribute to the design, development, and enhancement of travel insurance products, ensuring competitiveness and compliance with Canadian regulations
• Identify process inefficiencies, propose and support the implementation of solutions

Requirements

• Post secondary education in Business, Economics, Math/Statistics, Data Analytics, or a related field
• 2–5 years of experience in an analytics, product, or business intelligence role (insurance experience an asset)
• Strong MS Office skills
• Ability to translate complex data into actionable insights and present clear business recommendations
• Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Works well independently and the ability to work collaboratively with cross functional teams
• Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
