Product Analyst

About This Role

This role is for an Associate Product Manager who will help customers protect their organizations from phishing and malware by making email security easier to administer. You will turn customer evidence into well-defined product improvements and own a focused feature or administrator workflow from discovery through release and follow-up, working directly with engineering and supported by a senior product manager.

Responsibilities

• Investigate customer and administrator needs through interviews, support feedback, usage data, and market or competitor research
• Work with the senior product manager to distinguish recurring problems from isolated requests and choose a manageable opportunity to pursue
• Translate opportunities into user stories, acceptance criteria, and a clear definition of success, with senior PM review
• Collaborate with engineering and design to explore trade-offs, refine the backlog, and recommend the order of work within your assigned scope
• Clarify requirements, validate customer-facing behavior, and track milestones, dependencies, and risks
• Resolve straightforward product questions collaboratively and escalate security-sensitive, high-impact, or cross-product decisions
• Review relevant KPIs, such as workflow adoption, task completion, or support trends, and use the evidence to recommend improvements
• Prepare concise release briefings and internal training so customer-facing teams understand the change and its value

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience
• 2–5 years of relevant experience in product management, project management, software engineering, or comparable work; adjacent experience that demonstrates product thinking and collaboration with software teams is welcome
• Ability to break a customer problem into actionable requirements
• Ability to interpret basic quantitative and qualitative evidence
• Ability to explain your reasoning clearly
• Familiarity with agile software delivery and cybersecurity fundamentals
• Curiosity and a willingness to seek feedback
• Ability to work constructively across disciplines
• Ability to communicate trade-offs without losing sight of the customer
• Ability to adapt when new evidence changes the plan
• Follow through on commitments
• Know when to ask for guidance

Nice to have:

• Exposure to phishing and malware protection, email administration, or Microsoft 365
• Basic awareness of SPF, DKIM, and DMARC email authentication
• Certified Product Manager (CPM) certification or comparable product training
