Product Analyst

About This Role

Working alongside the Senior Product Owner and the wider Payments Tribe, the Product Analyst will help shape and deliver the Business Rewards Account and its card and payment features. This role involves turning data, customer feedback, and business requirements into clear insights and well-defined user stories, ensuring that development squads build the right things effectively. It is an opportunity to learn product ownership within a high-growth bank, with significant scope for career advancement.

Responsibilities

• Support the Senior Product Owner in defining and delivering features for the business current account, from discovery through to release
• Gather, analyse and document requirements from Distribution, Operations, Compliance and Risk, turning them into clear user stories and acceptance criteria
• Help maintain and prioritise the squad and wider Tribe backlogs, keeping them aligned to the roadmap and product and business OKRs
• Track and report on product performance, such as balances, usage and customer behaviour, and surface insights that inform decisions
• Gather and analyse customer feedback, then propose and lead product improvements
• Work day-to-day with engineers and designers to clarify requirements, answer questions and test what’s delivered
• Manage relationships with key vendors to keep delivery focused and on track
• Map and improve processes, spotting opportunities to simplify and automate
• Keep product documentation, tracking and risk logs accurate and up to date, flagging issues early
• Use AI tools to build and ship small changes to production

Requirements

• Experience as a Business Analyst, Product Analyst or in a similar role (around 2+ years), ideally working on digital products in payments or financial services
• Working knowledge of UK payment schemes (e.g., Faster Payments, Bacs, CHAPS) and card payments
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and comfortable working with data
• Great attention to detail, without losing sight of the bigger picture
• Clear, concise written and verbal communication, able to explain complex things simply
• Organised and proactive, able to juggle priorities in a fast-moving or high-growth environment
• Exposure to Agile ways of working and tools such as Jira and Confluence
• Curious and keen to learn
