Procurement Supervisor

About This Role

The Procurement Supervisor oversees purchasing and sourcing activities to ensure the timely acquisition of materials and services at optimal cost, quality, and delivery. This role involves leading a purchasing team, building strong supplier partnerships, and contributing to cost optimization and continuous improvement initiatives within the supply chain.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the purchasing team and establish work priorities to ensure efficient procurement operations
• Manage the procurement process for materials, equipment, supplies, and services
• Coordinate pricing updates, commercial terms, delivery schedules, and contracts with the Sourcing team
• Develop and maintain strategic relationships with suppliers to ensure service, quality, and cost objectives are achieved
• Evaluate supplier performance and support Global Supply Management (GSM) initiatives
• Monitor purchase orders and follow up with suppliers to ensure on-time deliveries
• Analyze inventory levels and coordinate purchasing activities according to demand and planning requirements
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies, procedures, and internal controls
• Lead cost reduction initiatives, cost-saving projects, and continuous improvement activities within the supply chain
• Resolve supplier-related issues, including delivery delays, quality concerns, and commercial discrepancies
• Prepare and analyze procurement KPIs, including cost savings, lead times, and supplier performance metrics
• Collaborate with Production, Warehouse, Finance, Quality, and other functional teams to ensure uninterrupted material availability

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, International Business, Industrial Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Purchasing, Procurement, or Sourcing
• Previous experience supervising personnel or coordinating teams
• Experience in supplier negotiations and contract management
• Strong knowledge of procurement and sourcing processes
• Experience with supplier evaluation and supplier performance management
• Knowledge of inventory control and demand planning
• Experience using ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
• Understanding of procurement KPIs and performance metrics
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills
