About This Role
Playing a key role in securing comparator medicines and supporting the delivery of global clinical trial supply projects, this Procurement Manager position is for a commercially minded individual to join a growing pharmaceutical sourcing team.
Responsibilities
- Develop and manage relationships with global pharmaceutical suppliers, wholesalers, and manufacturers
- Source comparator medicines and pharmaceutical products for clinical trial supply projects
- Negotiate pricing, discounts, and commercial agreements with suppliers
- Manage the end-to-end ordering process, ensuring timelines, quality standards, and specifications are met
- Identify supply chain risks and proactively develop solutions to minimise disruption
- Expand and optimise the global supplier network through market analysis and supplier identification
- Monitor procurement performance and sourcing KPIs
- Collaborate closely with account management teams to support client proposals, quotations, and ongoing project delivery
- Ensure compliance with GDP, regulatory requirements, and internal quality processes
Requirements
- Experience in pharmaceutical procurement, sourcing, supply chain, or vendor management
- Strong negotiation and relationship management skills
- Commercial awareness and the ability to identify cost-saving opportunities
- Confidence working with internal and external stakeholders across international markets
