Procurement Manager

About This Role

This role involves working within the procurement team to support the sourcing, negotiation, and governance of goods and subcontract procurement. It is an opportunity to make a real impact by collaborating with stakeholders to deliver innovative solutions while ensuring compliance with procurement policies and frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Ensure procurement policies for both Kier Group and Framework are followed, including Health and Safety accreditation and Sustainability standards
• Negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure contractual risks and KPIs are balanced and deliver best value
• Develop and manage preferred suppliers and strategic partnerships to ensure high quality, value for money services
• Lead compliance of Framework contract obligations and drive approval processes with clients
• Manage and prioritise procurement activities, develop project procurement plans, and attend client workshops

Requirements

• Relevant degree (or equivalent) with proven experience within a similar role in the industry
• Chartered CIPS membership or working towards chartership, or hold an appropriate professional qualification
• Strong experience within the infrastructure/utilities sector including civil engineering and MEICA requirements
• Excellent self-management, communication, and IT skills, with the ability to build strong working relationships
• Excellent analytical, numerical, and planning skills with knowledge of SAP SRM and Jaggaer systems
