Perth Airport is Australia's Western Hub, connecting the people, businesses, and communities of Western Australia with the rest of Australia and the world. Operating 24 hours a day, seven days a week, it plays a significant role in providing economic, social, and cultural benefits to West Australians. The company is delivering a $5 billion infrastructure program to transform the airport, including new and expanded terminals, a parallel runway, multi-storey car parks, and its first on-site hotel. Beyond aviation, the Perth Airport estate spans more than 2,100 hectares and supports a $1.5 billion portfolio of industrial and commercial assets, with significant opportunities for future development. The company places a strong emphasis on embedding sustainability throughout its business strategy and operations, driving ESPG (Environmental, Social, People, Governance) performance across its value chain and areas that have material environmental and social impact.
Only 12 kilometres from the heart of Perth, the capital of Western Australia, the airport is part of a 2,105 hectare estate that offers significant aeronautical infrastructure, and high quality commercial and industrial developments that are primely located near major access corridors.
Perth Airport is operated by Perth Airport Pty Ltd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Perth Airport Development Group Pty Ltd, under a 50-year lease with a 49-year option granted by the Commonwealth Government in 1997.
Perth Airport is closely involved with Tourism WA in promoting Western Australia as an attractive destination for overseas visitors and has a strong focus on working with airlines to increase the number of passengers travelling to and from Western Australia.
With more than 16 million passengers travelling through the airport annually, this number is expected to grow to 34 million passengers by 2034.
Perth Airport has announced a $5bn infrastructure program which will include a new terminal, two new multi-storey car parks, an airport hotel and a new parallel runway.
