Procurement Manager

This Procurement Manager role involves overseeing all procurement activities, including sourcing, supplier selection, and contract negotiation for major subcontracts, equipment, consumables, and services. The position is suited for a professional who can develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with business objectives and manage supplier relationships effectively.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with business objectives
• Identify and engage with key suppliers, negotiating the best terms for cost, quality, and delivery
• Manage supplier relationships, ensuring strong partnerships that deliver value and efficiency
• Support the company's sustainability and cost-saving initiatives through effective supply chain management
• Negotiate contracts, including pricing, service levels, and compliance with industry regulations
• Conduct regular supplier performance reviews and drive continuous improvement
• Oversee day-to-day procurement activities, ensuring timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services
• Work closely with project teams to ensure procurement aligns with production schedules

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree within Supply Chain Management, Engineering or a related field
• Proven experience within a procurement or supply chain management capacity preferably across heavy industry (i.e. Engineering, Manufacturing or Construction)
• Strong negotiation, analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent knowledge of procurement best practices, contract management and supplier evaluation
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
• Proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems
• Strong leadership and team management abilities
