About the role

Duties
Serves as the application administrator for the Standard NAF Army Contracting System (SNACS) and other systems used in support of the operation of NAF Contracting functions. Under general direction provides system support to ensure optimal performance. Provides users with assistance in a variety of areas such as establishment of accounts, password changes, etc. Partners with internal and external customers to effectively accomplish business tasks; identify improvement areas; troubleshoot and document system issues; assist in developing and reviewing reports; develop solutions within procurement applications and processes; assist in overall upkeep and training of the procurement systems; and participate in coordinating assigned programs, projects, and services with other divisions. Works in conjunction with the Lead Application Administrator on areas such as reviewing of internal management controls, testing of new versions or modules, and database management/maintenance.

Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS MUST BE CLEARLY VERIFIABLE IN YOUR RESUME. GOVERNMENT POSITIONS MUST INCLUDE PAY PLAN, SERIES, GRADE, TO AND FROM DATES, AND GOVERNMENT AGENCY/DEPARTMENT. All qualification requirements must include experience performing duties equivalent in scope and complexity to the next lower grade level.
Work experience indicating an acquired knowledge of the principles and procedures of contracting. Demonstrated ability in performing automation functions related to system development, testing, and database administration. Must be proficient in Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, Standard Automated Contracting System (SNACS) or related software. Must be proficient in programming languages such as: Java, Oracle SQL, Microsoft Visual Basic, Crystal Reports, Business Intelligence or similar applications.
Preferred are those candidates who possess a bachelor's degree with at least 24 semester hours in any combination of the following fields: Computer Science, Information Systems, Accounting, Business, Contracts, Economics, Finance, Industrial Management, Law, Marketing, Organization and Management, Purchasing, or Quantitative Methods.

Education is not required for this position and will not be utilized in determining minimum qualifications. Only education from accredited and pre-accredited institutions will be accepted. Foreign education must be evaluated for equivalency in the United States.
