Process Technician

About This Role

The Process Technician monitors and improves manufacturing processes, adjusts machine parameters, reports equipment malfunctions, and observes and tests batch quality. This role suits a hands-on individual with mechanical aptitude and a strong work ethic, capable of working under tight deadlines and with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Identify and solve issues or problems with equipment/process
• Troubleshoot possible causes and coordinate activities of maintenance, production, and other available resources to implement cost-effective solutions
• Assist in developing, designing, and communicating manufacturing processes
• Monitor and revise processes to help generate cost savings and improve the quality and efficiency of product/process
• Assist in design reviews to improve the ability to manufacture products
• Provide coordination of new process installation and process changes
• Perform other duties/responsibilities as assigned, or apparent

Requirements

• Must be hands-on with the ability and willingness to work under tight deadlines
• Must have a positive attitude and possess excellent communication and organization skills
• Must show mechanical aptitude and be detail oriented
• Must be dependable with strong work ethic
• Must be able to work well with others
• Must be able to work with computers or related electronic tools
• Must demonstrate strong safety awareness and follow through
• Effectively manage time; give balanced attention to appropriate long-term and short-term priorities
• Must have the ability to prioritize, plan, and execute duties with minimal supervision
• Must be able to periodically work all shifts, if/when needed
• Attendance is an essential function of the job
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English
• High school diploma

Nice to have:

• AA degree in process engineering or related
• 3+ years of related experience
• Understanding of the CIMPRO system
