About This Role
This technical and production role is for a Process Technician with practical experience in plastic injection molding technology. You will support ongoing production, primarily responsible for starting production, correctly setting and controlling process stability, and solving technological problems directly on the production floor.
Responsibilities
- Assemble and disassemble molds on injection molding machines
- Set up, start, and stabilize the production process
- Select and correct process parameters to ensure required production quality and efficiency
- Monitor process parameters and react to emerging deviations
- Solve current production problems related to the process
- Identify the causes of problems, failures, and process instabilities, and take corrective and preventive actions
- Optimize injection processes in terms of quality, stability, efficiency, and waste level
- Create and update basic technological documentation, especially technological cards and work instructions
- Operate a crane in accordance with possessed authorizations
- Perform and modify simple tooling for robots and devices cooperating with injection molding machines
- Implement actions and standards resulting from Lean methodology
Requirements
- Experience in plastic injection molding process
- Minimum 3 years of experience as an Adjuster, Process Technician, or similar position
- Practical knowledge of the construction and operation of injection molding machines and injection molds
- Knowledge of robots and process automation
- Ability to independently operate injection molding machines from various manufacturers
- Ability to diagnose typical defects of molded parts and technological problems
- Ability to approach problem-solving technically and logically
- Independence and responsibility for performed tasks
- Readiness to work directly on the production floor
- Ability to cooperate in a team and with supporting departments
