As a Process Engineering Specialist, you will drive manufacturing excellence by leading process development, optimizing production workflows, and implementing cutting-edge engineering solutions. You will serve as a technical lead, bridging the gap between product design and floor-level execution to ensure high-quality, efficient manufacturing outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Design and validate robust manufacturing process flows for new product launches.
- Lead cross-functional teams in conducting PFMEA and risk mitigation assessments.
- Oversee the procurement, installation, and commissioning of advanced production equipment.
- Develop standardized work instructions and technical documentation to ensure operational consistency.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance throughput, reduce waste, and improve safety.
- Collaborate with design teams to provide technical feedback that optimizes product manufacturability.
- Manage complex engineering projects from conception through final production sign-off.
Qualifications
Required Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent technical experience (3-5 years).
- Proven expertise in GD&T and creating detailed manufacturing process documentation.
- Strong background in automotive manufacturing environments.
- Hands-on experience troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., Solidworks) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Advanced problem-solving capabilities using root cause analysis methodologies.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with injection molding, bonding, or assembly processes.
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish.
- Knowledge of IATF 16949 and ISO 14001 quality standards.
- Demonstrated success in lean manufacturing and CI project leadership.
