About the role
Role: CT Technologist responsible for delivering high-quality imaging and supporting patient care at a healthcare facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform CT procedures following department guidelines, ensuring diagnostic image quality while maintaining safety standards.
- Operate imaging equipment independently, adjusting techniques to optimize image quality and minimize radiation exposure.
- Maintain cleanliness and functionality of rooms and equipment, report issues promptly.
- Obtain patient history, verify orders, and ensure patient safety and comfort using AIDET communication principles.
- Administer contrast agents, position patients accurately, and apply appropriate shielding and immobilization.
- Review images for quality, repeat or correct as necessary, and finalize studies in RIS/PACS systems.
- Monitor patient condition, respond to emergencies, and assist with equipment readiness.
- Support departmental workflow, maintain orderliness, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
Qualifications & Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent and completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
- At least one year of radiology experience.
- Certifications: ARRT - R (Radiography), ARRT - CT (Computed Tomography), and BLS (American Heart Association).
Core Competencies: Technical proficiency in CT imaging, patient communication, safety awareness, attention to detail, teamwork, and adherence to infection control and regulatory protocols.
