PRN CT Technologist

Role Overview: The CT Technologist applies expertise to deliver safe, high-quality imaging at East Cobb Health Park . They are vital members of a collaborative care team, ensuring patient safety, comfort, and accurate diagnostics.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures following department guidelines, capturing diagnostic images with technical proficiency.
• Operate imaging equipment independently, adjusting techniques to minimize radiation exposure (ALARA).
• Maintain cleanliness and functionality of rooms and equipment, reporting issues promptly.
• Obtain patient history, verify orders, and ensure patient identification before exams.
• Explain procedures clearly, address questions, and reduce patient anxiety using AIDET.
• Ensure patient safety, comfort, privacy, and appropriate care during visits.
• Administer contrast agents using venipuncture and sterile technique when needed.
• Position patients correctly, apply markers, shielding, and immobilization as required.
• Review, repeat, or correct images for diagnostic quality and document procedures accurately in RIS/PACS.
• Monitor patient condition, assist in emergencies, and maintain life-support equipment.
• Organize workflows, support departmental operations, and ensure compliance with regulations.

Qualifications & Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent and completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• At least 1 year of radiology experience.
• ARRT - R (Radiography), ARRT - CT (Computed Tomography), and BLS certification.
