Privileged Access Management Specialist

About This Role

This specialist role focuses on the technical development and management of Privileged Access Management (PAM) processes and systems. It involves guiding new applications through PAM onboarding, evaluating IT landscape changes for privileged permissions, and providing expert advice to various departments on PAM requirements. The position suits a candidate with a background in IAM/PAM, information security, or IT governance, who possesses analytical skills and a proactive approach.

Responsibilities

• Technically manage and further develop PAM processes (e.g., onboarding, changes, exceptions)
• Support PAM onboarding for new applications into the existing PAM landscape
• Evaluate and support IT landscape changes with regard to privileged permissions
• Assist in the implementation and follow-up of defined mitigating measures
• Establish and maintain a structured exception register including documentation and risk assessment
• Provide technical advice to IT and business departments on implementing PAM requirements
• Support internal and external audits and provide relevant evidence
• Create, prepare, and analyze key figures for managing PAM operations
• Work closely with IT, information security, authorization management, and auditing
• Conduct training for business departments and relevant stakeholders on handling PAM requirements

Requirements

• Successfully completed studies in economics, (business) informatics, or comparable qualification
• Several years of professional experience in IAM / PAM, information security, or IT governance
• Basic understanding of privileged access, authorization management, and IT architectures
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements (e.g., MaRisk, DORA, PCI DSS an advantage)
• Experience in analyzing, designing, and documenting processes
• Analytical and structured thinking skills
• Ability to present complex issues clearly
• High degree of initiative and sense of responsibility
• Strong communication skills for interacting with business departments, IT, and auditing bodies
• Independent and solution-oriented way of working
