About This Role
This experienced Private Investigator role specializes in surveillance, conducting discreet operations related to workers’ compensation fraud, auto, liability claims, and other civil or domestic investigations. You will work closely with a team of experienced investigators to plan and execute surveillance assignments across various locations. The ideal candidate will possess excellent observation skills, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt to dynamic situations.
Responsibilities
- Conduct field surveillance operations (stationary and mobile)
- Maintain a covert presence and effectively blend into diverse environments
- Document and report findings accurately and in a timely manner
- Conduct social media research investigations
- Communicate effectively with the investigative team to coordinate surveillance efforts
- Adhere to all legal and ethical standards governing investigative practices
- Ensure confidentiality and discretion throughout all phases of the investigation
Requirements
- Able to be licensed as a private investigator in Texas
- Strong observational and analytical skills
- Exceptional report-writing skills, with the ability to articulate detailed observations effectively
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
- Proficient in the use of surveillance equipment and technology
- A well-maintained and reliable vehicle (preferably with tinted windows), with current comprehensive insurance and clean driving record
- Must be able to sit for extended periods during mobile surveillance
- May need to walk, crouch, kneel, or sit for long durations
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 20 lbs of surveillance equipment
- Work may involve exposure to extreme weather conditions and extended hours
- Requires strong focus, patience, and alertness
- Flexibility to work irregular hours as needed
- Willingness to work most weekends and holidays
- Bachelor's degree (Preferred)
- 2 years of private investigator experience (Required)
- English (Required)
- Texas Private Investigator License (Required)
- Able and willing to travel throughout Texas for cases as assigned
- Able and willing to stay overnight for cases throughout Texas as assigned
- Experience conducting surveillance as a private investigator in insurance related investigations
Nice to have:
- Experience in surveillance investigations or OSINT
- Majoring in Criminal Justice
