Private Investigator

About This Role

This role as a Private Investigator at DEKRA Investigations involves conducting independent and responsible investigations into the circumstances and fraud claims related to damages. You will work on-site and from home, handling a variety of cases such as staged collisions and fraudulent burglary claims. Every day and every investigation is different, making it a challenging and never boring job.

Responsibilities

• Conduct investigations into accident circumstances and fraud claims
• Create an interview plan and schedule appointments with opposing parties and their representatives
• Interview the insured party
• Report carefully constructed evidence to the client
• Study case files and consult with experts
• Visit premises and conduct intensive discussions
• Discover irregularities and confront involved parties with findings
• Finalize cases with clear and concise reports for the insurer to make a decision

Requirements

• Higher professional education (HBO) work and thinking level
• Valid Private Investigator diploma or willingness to obtain it
• Minimum of 3 years of demonstrable work experience in a similar position
• Background as a detective in an investigative service is a plus
• Technical insight and analytical skills
• Knowledge of open-source intelligence (OSINT) research
• Eager to learn and become a top investigator
• Flexibility to work throughout the Netherlands with varied investigations
• Good command of the Dutch language, both written and spoken
• Communicatively skilled and not afraid to have confronting conversations
