- Make decisive product investment decisions, determining which initiatives to pursue, defer, or discontinue
- Clearly communicate priorities, trade-offs, and recommendations while adapting plans to customer feedback, market conditions, and business objectives
- Engage regularly with customers, partners, sales teams, and sales engineers to understand business needs, competitive positioning, pricing, and product performance
- Translate qualitative feedback and quantitative data into clear problem statements and actionable product strategies
- Collaborate closely with engineering teams to define requirements, evaluate architectural trade-offs, resolve technical challenges, and deliver reliable infrastructure products that meet customer and business expectations
- Drive predictable release cycles and successful product launches in partnership with engineering
- Equip sales teams, sales engineers, and channel partners with the knowledge and resources needed to position, demonstrate, and sell new capabilities effectively
- Identify opportunities to combine infrastructure, cloud, and application-hosting capabilities into integrated solutions that create additional customer value and unlock new revenue opportunities
- Establish measurable success criteria and track outcomes such as bookings, net revenue retention, and EBITDA margin
- Use performance data to refine product strategy and demonstrate the business impact of roadmap decisions
- Align product leadership, engineering, delivery, sales, and marketing around strategic priorities, launch plans, dependencies, and execution expectations
- Maintain delivery momentum by removing blockers, making reversible decisions quickly, and escalating strategic decisions rather than unresolved problems
- Balance urgency with thoughtful evaluation when decisions have significant long-term consequences
- Produce clear, concise roadmaps, requirements documents, launch plans, and executive updates tailored to technical, commercial, and customer audiences
- Raise the standard of product management practices across the organization by sharing expertise, mentoring fellow product managers, and establishing strong examples of strategic thinking, documentation, and execution
