We are seeking an exceptional and visionary Principal to lead our International School in Ipoh. The successful candidate will provide strategic leadership, academic excellence, and operational oversight while fostering a nurturing, inclusive, and high-performing learning environment based on the Cambridge International Curriculum (IGCSE).

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Develop and implement the school's strategic vision, mission, and educational goals.
- Lead continuous school improvement initiatives to achieve academic excellence and strong student outcomes.
- Drive innovation in teaching, learning, and assessment practices aligned with Cambridge standards.
- Represent the school professionally within the local and international education community.
Academic Leadership
- Ensure effective delivery of the Cambridge Primary, Lower Secondary, and IGCSE curriculum.
- Monitor academic performance and implement strategies to improve student achievement.
- Promote a culture of high expectations, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Support curriculum planning, assessment practices, and quality assurance processes.
People Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and develop teaching and administrative staff.
- Foster a collaborative and positive school culture.
- Conduct performance management, coaching, and professional development initiatives.
- Attract, retain, and nurture high-quality educators and support staff.
Student Development & Wellbeing
- Ensure a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
- Champion student wellbeing, safeguarding, and holistic development.
- Strengthen student leadership, character education, and global citizenship programmes.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Build strong relationships with parents, students, regulatory bodies, and the local community.
- Enhance school reputation, student recruitment, and retention efforts.
- Communicate effectively with all stakeholders regarding school performance and strategic initiatives.
Operational Management
- Oversee school operations, compliance, budgeting, and resource management.
- Ensure compliance with Ministry of Education regulations and Cambridge International requirements.
- Monitor financial performance and support sustainable school growth.
Requirements
Qualifications
- Degree or Master's Degree in Education, Educational Leadership, School Management.
- Recognized teaching qualification.
Experience
- Minimum 8-10 years of teaching experience in an international school environment.
- At least 5 years in a senior leadership role such as Principal, Vice Principal, Head of School, or Academic Director.
- Proven experience leading Cambridge International (IGCSE) schools.
- Demonstrated success in school improvement, student achievement, and staff development.
Competencies
- Strong strategic and operational leadership skills.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Sound financial and budget management experience.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and cultural sensitivity.
- Strong understanding of safeguarding and student welfare practices.
