Principal Data Scientist

About This Role

The Principal Data Scientist plays a crucial role in a global tech AI health startup, focusing on applied AI in machine learning and deep learning. This position is ideal for candidates with a strong entrepreneurial mindset who thrive in a dynamic environment and are capable of taking full ownership of data science projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end data science projects, ensuring full ownership and delivery.
• Develop algorithms and predictive models to address complex problems in healthcare.
• Communicate findings effectively, both orally and visually.
• Uphold ethical responsibilities regarding consumer data privacy.
• Clean and format data, perform statistical analysis, and validate AI models.
• Program databases and develop AI data modeling solutions.
• Collaborate with a small data science team or work independently as needed.

Requirements

• B.Tech / M.Tech in Computer Science, Electrical, Electronics & Communication, Mathematics & Computing, Statistics, BioTech, BioStat, or Clinical Engineering.
• 0 to 7 years of experience in applied AI, machine learning, and deep learning, preferably in an early-stage AI health startup.
• Strong experience with Artificial Neural Networks (ANN), deep learning, and natural language processing (NLP).
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, TensorFlow, Keras, AWS, NumPy, and PyTorch.
• Ability to clean data, format data, and query databases.
• Familiarity with statistical analysis, predictive modeling, and hypothesis testing.

• Experience with AI conversational chatbots and algorithm development.
