Principal Consultant

About This Role

This role involves running large-scale GenAI infrastructure deployments in customer data centers, serving as a subject-matter expert on industry and technology transformation. You will lead discovery, architecture, and roadmaps, and quantify value realization for executives, with your insights de-risking investments and accelerating outcomes. The Professional Services Organization Technical Program Management Office (PMO) helps organizations optimize data center design and accelerate time-to-value in their AL transformation, ensuring seamless integration with ROI-driven deployments.

Responsibilities

• Engage before deal closure and order placement to be fully immersed with customer stakeholders, internal order status, and potential issues before the project kicks off
• Own delivery across rack-build and test, logistics, deployment, test, and handover
• Manage Dell Technologies' delivery partners for all relevant aspects of the solution
• Lead executive-level stakeholder communications and relationship management, both internally and with the customer
• Maintain strong program governance coupled with pragmatism and agility
• Maintain regular on-site presence in the datacenter
• Oversee performance of installation and client acceptance of capitalized equipment, enterprise software systems, or system integration projects and engagements
• Provide strategic and advisory consultation to the customer, driving the business outcome
• Ensure quality service and operational performance across all project deliverables
• Focus the customer and cross-functional teams on working together to achieve the end-state solution, driving the business outcome and vision while advising the customer on risks and opportunities
• Effectively allocate and manage costs and investments for technology and resources across the program
• Inform, manage, report, and practice mitigation, avoidance, and acceptance of dependency and impact management via a consistent program approach and communications

Requirements

• 12-15 years of experience managing large, complex technology projects involving program-level hardware infrastructure implementations in customer data centers
• Extensive experience in managing large-scale hardware and infrastructure deployments/programs
• Demonstrated previous experience delivering large-scale, high-value IT infrastructure deployments
• Ability to understand and articulate the key components of HPC and GenAI infrastructure deployments
• Hands-on experience in the data center, whether in current role or in an appropriately recent timeframe
• Strong experience in program management including planning, senior management interfacing, influencing, and negotiating with customers and various project stakeholders
