As a pricing and estimating coordinator, reporting to the Pricing and Estimates Manager, at our Madras Street branch in Christchurch, you'll provide competitive prices and accurate estimates on building materials and products for our trade customers, ensuring our customers are fully prepared for construction while delivering exceptional service standards within required timeframes.

You will need to manage estimate documentation from both internal and external sources while ensuring price increases and freight charges are reviewed and applied when applicable. You will need to support the tender processes from start to finish to increase/generate sales.

To be successful in this busy role, you will need to:

  • Guarantee timely and precise handling of quotations and pricing arrangements, including the submission of schedules for outsourced items to be priced.
  • Maintain an efficient ordering system.
  • Minimize quantity surveying expenses through collaboration and coordination with manufacturing and internal sales teams.
  • Collaborate with and cultivate relationships with local representatives from our preferred suppliers.

  • Technical proficiency is essential, particularly in MS Excel, with strong data entry skills being a requirement.
  • Having familiarity with the building industry is beneficial.
