About This Role
This is a leadership role focused on the overall performance of two clinics, covering both operations and people management. The Practice Manager will work closely with Directors to build high-performing teams, recruit staff, improve systems, and support business growth. It suits a confident leader who enjoys bringing people together to achieve common goals in a positive, supportive culture.
Responsibilities
- Lead, support, and develop reception and nursing teams
- Create a positive, collaborative workplace culture
- Set clear expectations and manage performance with fairness and kindness
- Coach staff to continually improve
- Recruit and onboard outstanding team members and GPs
- Work with the Directors to attract and retain high-quality clinicians
- Support business development and growth initiatives
- Help identify opportunities to improve services and expand the business
- Create efficient, consistent systems across both clinics
- Improve workflows and solve operational challenges
- Ensure an excellent experience for patients and doctors
- Drive continuous improvement rather than simply maintaining the status quo
- Monitor key business metrics and financial performance
- Improve efficiency and profitability while maintaining outstanding patient care
- Work with the Directors to achieve business goals
Requirements
- Confident, experienced leader who brings people with them

- Highly organised, proactive, and solutions-focused
- Comfortable having difficult conversations when needed, while treating people with respect
- Commercially minded and interested in helping grow a successful business
- Able to balance strategic thinking with practical action

- Legal right to work in Australia
Nice to have:
- Experience managing a general practice or healthcare business, particularly familiarity with Medicare and medical billing
