We’re looking for an aspiring electrician who is keen to upskill and become a **Power Station Operator Electrician (FIFO)**to join our team at our Yarnima site.

What you'll do:
- Positions holders are typically field based focusing on the delivery of Operation & Maintenance programs to ensure reliable and safe power station operation.
- Perform all electrical operational, maintenance & repair tasks on all power station equipment & ancillaries. This will include equipment such as a generators, transformers, distribution boards, fuel pumping system, solar, inverters, batteries.
- Able to comprehend & understand all engineering electrical schematics/Mechanical P&ID.
- Troubleshoot machinery failure or breakdown (mechanical and electrical) and to perform remedial action while referring to equipment manuals or electrical schematics with minimum supervision.
- Operate SCADA system.
- Always maintain work area in a clean and safe manner.
- Be prepared to learn minor mechanical maintenance, basic servicing skills.
To thrive in this role, you'll have the following skills and experience:
- Qualified Electrician with an "A Grade" Electrical License, with the ability to obtain a Western Australia electrical license
- Proven previous experience as power station operator advantageous but not essential
- Power generation experience is an advantage but not essential
- Valid Driver’s License
- Telehandler License
- UPS, SCADA, PLC experience
- Be proactive and willing to take responsibility as time will be spent onsite without direct supervision
- LVR/CPR
