About This Role
This role as a Developer II Intelligent Automation at Emerson involves identifying automation opportunities, managing a backlog of automation projects, and ensuring efficient development. It offers a breadth of assignments and collaboration with various functional teams, focusing on leveraging Microsoft Power Platform and other tools.
Responsibilities
- Leverage Microsoft Power Platform and other tools, including but not limited to Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate, SharePoint, Dataflows, and RPA tools
- Work on project-based assignments in small and large teams to deliver automated processes
- Design, develop, and implement custom solutions for the automation of existing or new processes
- Implement the full life cycle of an automation solution: identify automation opportunities, gather requirements, develop, test, and deploy automation solutions using advanced automation tools
- Troubleshoot and fix major bugs/defects and assist junior developers in making sure issues/requests are resolved appropriately and on time
- Introduce and test new technologies to continuously improve the technical capabilities of the team relating to automation tools
- Work closely with the production support team to deploy into production, complete required documentation, including lessons learned, and implement knowledge transfer
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in IT, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or similar
- 3-4 years of relevant work experience in the software development field, tools, and process automation
- Proficient in automation tools and platforms (e.g., Power Platform - PowerBI, PowerApps, PowerAutomate), including Office 365 applications (Flow, OneDrive, SharePoint, Teams)
- Deep knowledge of Integrated Administrative and Productivity Tools
- Hands-on troubleshooting and response experience
- Solid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and project management methodologies such as Waterfall, Agile, and Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)
