About the role
Power Architecture & Design
• Develop power architecture and power budgets during RFI/RFP and concept study phases.
• Define Power Delivery Network (PDN) strategy for AI servers, compute servers, networking platforms, storage systems, and rack solutions.
• Design and review CPU, GPU, ASIC, FPGA, HBM, and accelerator power rails.
• Design high-current multi-phase voltage regulator (VR) solutions.
• Design Hot-Swap, eFuse, ORing FET, Power Mux, and protection circuits.
• Design and evaluate Power Brick, DC-DC modules, and intermediate bus converters.
Power Integrity & System Optimization
• Perform PDN analysis and Power Integrity (PI) optimization.
• Review IR Drop, current density, thermal distribution, and transient response.
• Support decoupling strategy optimization for AI and high-current applications.
• Collaborate with SI/PI teams to ensure power and signal integrity compliance.
• Improve power efficiency, thermal performance, and power conversion losses.
Layout & Manufacturing Support
• Guide placement and routing for high-current power stages.
• Review PCB stack-up and copper distribution for current carrying capability.
• Support DFM, DFT, thermal validation, and design reviews.
• Drive power-related root cause analysis during EVT, DVT, PVT, and production ramps.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Power Electronics, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in power architecture, power circuit design, or server/system hardware development.
- Strong hands-on experience in power delivery network (PDN), voltage regulator (VR), DC-DC power conversion, and high-current power design.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in AI servers, compute servers, networking platforms, storage systems, or rack-level power solutions.
- Experience working with hyperscale data center products or high-density computing platforms.
- Knowledge of industry power standards, safety requirements, and design validation methodologies.
- Experience engaging with customers, silicon vendors, power component suppliers, and manufacturing partners.
