Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Power BI Developer for a 6-month project engagement supporting enterprise Business Intelligence, Analytics, and AI initiatives . This role requires a strong combination of Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, SQL, and Microsoft Copilot experience, with the ability to design, develop, optimize, and support scalable enterprise reporting and analytics solutions.
The ideal candidate will work closely with business stakeholders and technical teams to translate business requirements into effective data solutions while leveraging modern Microsoft analytics, cloud, and AI capabilities .
What This Person Will Be Working On
- Design and develop enterprise Power BI reports, dashboards, and analytics solutions
- Build and optimize data models, DAX calculations, and Power Query transformations
- Support Microsoft Fabric environments and understand Fabric capacity management
- Leverage Microsoft Copilot and AI-assisted development for report creation, DAX generation, data exploration, and analytics
- Connect Power BI and Fabric to enterprise, operational, and cloud-based data sources
- Optimize report performance, security, RLS, and deployment pipelines
- Partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions
- Support enterprise data governance, security, compliance, and responsible AI practices
Required Skills & Experience
- 3+ years of hands-on Power BI development experience
- Strong expertise with Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service
- Advanced DAX development and optimization
- Strong Power Query / M Language experience
- Strong data modeling experience, including Star Schema and Snowflake Schema
- Experience designing enterprise reports and dashboards
- Experience implementing Row-Level Security (RLS)
- Strong report performance tuning and optimization skills
- Experience with Power BI Deployment Pipelines
- Experience supporting large-scale enterprise BI environments
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric
- Understanding of Fabric capacity management
- Experience using Microsoft Copilot within Power BI and Fabric
- Ability to leverage AI-assisted capabilities for report development, DAX generation, and data exploration
- Understanding of Responsible AI, governance, and security
- Strong SQL development skills
- Experience integrating Power BI/Fabric with operational and cloud-based data sources
- Knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance best practices
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to gather business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced enterprise environment
Desired Skills
- Experience with Azure-based data solutions
- Familiarity with cloud architecture and data integration patterns
- Microsoft Power BI certification(s)
- Microsoft Fabric certification(s)
- Experience working within Agile environments
- Experience supporting enterprise-scale reporting and analytics programs
- Experience with self-service BI
- Previous experience within large enterprise organizations
- Strong understanding of modern Microsoft data and analytics platforms
