Being a Pool Technician means maintaining sparkling, safe, and inviting swimming environments. Responsibilities
- Perform routine pool maintenance including water testing, chemical balancing, and filter cleaning to ensure optimal water quality
- Conduct thorough pool cleaning tasks such as skimming debris, vacuuming surfaces, and brushing walls to maintain cleanliness and appearance
- Inspect pool equipment such as pumps, filters, heaters, and chlorinators; identify issues and perform or coordinate necessary repairs using hand tools and power tools
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, chemical treatments, and equipment repairs for compliance and operational tracking
- Utilize mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot technical problems with pool systems and execute repairs efficiently to minimize downtime
- Follow safety protocols diligently during all maintenance procedures to ensure a secure environment for team members and pool users
- Assist with seasonal opening and closing procedures to prepare pools for high usage periods or off-season storage
Requirements
- Demonstrated mechanical knowledge with experience in equipment repair and troubleshooting
- Prior service technician experience or background in pool maintenance is highly preferred
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and other maintenance equipment safely and effectively
- Strong understanding of pool cleaning techniques, chemical balancing, and water chemistry principles
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting heavy equipment, standing for extended periods, and working outdoors in various weather conditions
- Excellent attention to detail combined with a proactive approach to problem-solving
- Valid driver
