About This Role
The Montoursville Police Department is seeking full-time police officers and is accepting applications to establish an eligibility list for hiring. This role offers a competitive salary and benefits, and welcomes lateral officers with prior police service credit.
Responsibilities
- Successfully complete a physical agility test
- Successfully complete a written examination
- Successfully complete an oral interview
- Successfully complete a psychological evaluation
- Successfully complete a background investigation
- Successfully complete a medical examination, including drug screening
Requirements
- Be 21 years of age or older
- Be a United States Citizen
- Possess a valid Pennsylvania driver’s license
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
- Have successfully completed Act 120 Police Academy OR currently attending Act 120 Academy and must graduate by December 1, 2026
- Provide photo identification at the time of testing
