About This Role
The Police Officer role at Lethbridge Police Service involves serving the community and ensuring public safety. This position is suitable for candidates who are committed to upholding the law and engaging with the community in a meaningful way.
Responsibilities
- Participate in the complete recruiting process and meet the standards set out by the Police Selection and Employment Manual.
- Complete the APREP physical abilities testing as a prerequisite for the position.
- Undergo a Personal Disclosure interview after the application package review.
- Attend a Behavioral Descriptive Interview if still competitive after the Personal Disclosure interview.
- Complete integrity verification through a polygraph test and psychometric testing.
- Consent to a police security clearance, including a personal disclosure form, criminal and police records check, reference checks, and truth verification.
Requirements
- Must be a Canadian citizen, or have landed immigrant status or permanent resident status.
- A Grade 12 Diploma or equivalent.
- Current class 5 Driver’s license with no more than 5 demerits.
- Pass the vision and hearing form attached in the application.
- No criminal convictions for which a pardon has not been granted, or any outstanding criminal or internal investigations prior to an offer of employment.
- Have a valid APCAT exam result within the previous 5 years.
