What You’ll Be Doing

In this role, you will:

  • Implement and administer assessment and internal verification procedures in line with QAA, College of Policing, and awarding body standards.
  • Maintain awareness of updates to legislation, case law, Authorised Professional Practice, and assessment/standardisation practices.
  • Provide guidance to student officers on evidence requirements and assess their competence, offering constructive feedback to them and their supervisory teams.
  • Support the wider People Development team in delivering training that develops the knowledge, skills, and professional behaviours of officers and staff.
  • Attend assessor and IQA standardisation meetings to ensure consistent practice and continuous improvement.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of learning materials and programme content.
  • Ensure welfare considerations are prioritised when supporting and assessing students on operational duties.
  • Achieve and maintain performance standards required for police assessors and trainers.

Why This Role Matters
