Plumbing Superintendent - Commercial Construction
Birmingham, Alabama
$35–$45/Hour + $500/Month Car Allowance
A growing construction organization is seeking an experienced Plumbing Superintendent to lead field operations and help deliver quality plumbing projects safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
What You'll Do
- Supervise plumbing crews and subcontractors on active construction projects.
- Coordinate daily field activities, manpower, materials, and equipment.
- Read and interpret plumbing drawings, specifications, and project schedules.
- Coordinate with Project Managers, General Contractors, and other trades.
- Monitor installation quality, productivity, and jobsite safety.
- Plan upcoming work and coordinate manpower and material needs.
- Identify and resolve field issues.
- Participate in project meetings and provide field progress updates.
- Ensure work is completed according to plans, specifications, and applicable codes.
What We're Looking For
- 5–7 years of plumbing construction experience as a Foreman or Journeyman, OR 1–3 years of experience as a Plumbing Superintendent .
- Valid Alabama Journeyman Plumber License required.
- Strong commercial or industrial plumbing construction experience.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications.
- Strong crew leadership and field-management skills.
- Ability to coordinate multiple trades and project activities.
- Solid knowledge of plumbing installation methods, materials, and construction practices.
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
Compensation
- $35–$45 per hour , depending on experience
- $500/month car allowance
