Responsibilities

Installation & Repair
-
Install and repair water, gas, air, and drain piping systems.

Install and repair water heaters, domestic hot water boilers, circulating pumps, backflow preventers, and thermostatic mixing values.

Assemble and install valves, pipe fittings, and pipes composed of cast iron, steel, brass, PVC, and copper.

Join pipes using screws, bolts, fittings, solder, plastic solvent, and caulk joints.

Install and repair plumbing fixtures such as sinks, toilets, bathtubs, and hot water storage tanks.

Maintenance & Troubleshooting

Perform drain cleaning and maintenance tasks.

Diagnose and resolve plumbing issues efficiently and effectively.

Maintain good customer relations by communicating clearly, leaving work areas clean and orderly, and addressing customer concerns promptly.

Jetting equipment.

Safety & Compliance

Observe job sites and report and correct any unsafe working conditions.

Be familiar with air quality needs and issues.

Maintain underground safety while trenching and shoring.

Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a secure working environment.
Qualifications
- Valid Driver’s License and ability to pass an MVR check.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Ability to climb ladders and work from heights in excess of 4 feet.
- Strong problem solving skills and ability to interpret various instructions.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Effective communication skills via telephone to customers and dispatch.
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 5 years related experience and/or training; equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Journeyman’s or Master license preferred; experienced apprentices considered.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Ability to adjust focus for close-up work, with or without correction.
- Ability to pass a physical ability test.
