About This Role
Plumbers perform installations, renovations, and repairs throughout the hospital and associated properties. This role is for a compassionate healthcare professional eager to contribute to patient care, where skills make a difference every day in delivering exceptional healthcare with a personal touch.
Responsibilities
- Perform plumbing assignments for the facility
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems in the hospital, including new installations and replacing old fixtures
- Study blueprints, plumbing diagrams, and install plumbing systems and fixtures as ordered
- Operate and maintain any equipment in the plumbing field
- Perform tests to ensure installations comply with safety regulations and codes
- Maintain PM program on the plumbing system in the hospital
- Take a lead role in emergency repairs and work crews
- Operate and maintain generators
- Work on generators and A/C chillers, maintain and test them
- Utilize resources efficiently and effectively
- Maintain a safe environment
- Address patient population-specific needs
- Participate in Performance Improvement activities
Requirements
- High School Graduate or equivalent
- 3 to 5 years in plumbing trade
- Possession of current Texas Journeyman Plumber license
Nice to have:
- Trade School education
- Basic knowledge in plumbing, electrical, and carpentry
