About This Role
This entry-level plumbing apprentice role offers a chance to learn a valuable trade from experienced professionals, setting you on a path to a rewarding career as a licensed plumber. You will work directly under the supervision of a Licensed Journeyman or Master Plumber, receiving comprehensive on-the-job training and mentorship.
Responsibilities
- Directly support licensed plumbers with the installation, maintenance, and repair of water, drain, waste, and vent systems
- Assist in the proper installation of plumbing fixtures such as sinks, toilets, faucets, water heaters, and garbage disposals
- Learn and strictly adhere to all federal, state, and local plumbing codes, safety regulations, and company procedures
- Properly handle, maintain, and clean tools, equipment, and company vehicles
- Interact with customers in a professional and courteous manner, maintaining a clean and organized job site
- Load and unload materials and supplies, ensuring the work site is stocked and prepared for the job
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid driver
- Willingness and eagerness to learn a skilled trade and commit to a multi-year apprenticeship program
- Basic understanding and familiarity with plumbing systems
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to [e.g., 50-75] lbs., climbing ladders, and working in confined spaces
- Strong work ethic, punctuality, and a dependable nature
- Excellent communication and professional customer service skills
- A positive attitude and a team-player mentality
- Attention to detail, making sure the job is completed correctly prior to leaving job site in time frame agreed upon and to the foreman's satisfaction
- 1 year of plumbing experience
