Platform Engineer

Responsibilities

• Provision and operate cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC).
• Design and implement identity & access management, virtual networking, secrets management, and encryption controls.
• Establish CI/CD pipelines with linting, type-checking, unit testing, and static application security testing (SAST).
• Implement the platform security foundation (token-based authentication, network isolation, encryption at rest and in transit).
• Build audit-trail, telemetry, error-handling, and cost-tracking capabilities.
• Own platform reliability, security hardening, and operational readiness.
• Partner with backend and quality teams on compliance and governance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
• 6+ years of platform / DevOps / cloud-infrastructure engineering experience.
• Hands-on expertise with Infrastructure-as-Code tooling and cloud-native platforms.
• Strong knowledge of cloud identity & access, networking, encryption, and security controls.
• Experience with CI/CD platforms, containerization, and DevSecOps practices.
• Familiarity with SAST, security scanning, and vulnerability management.
• Understanding of observability, logging, and monitoring frameworks.

Mandatory Tech Stack

• IaC: Infrastructure-as-Code such as CloudFormation or equivalent.
• Cloud: AWS or equivalent major cloud provider.
• Security: IAM, VPC / network isolation, secrets management, TLS, and KMS-based encryption.
• CI/CD: GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or equivalent pipelines with linting, type checks, unit tests, and deployment automation.
• Containers: Docker, ECS, Kubernetes, or equivalent orchestration.
• AppSec: SAST tooling, dependency scanning, vulnerability scanning, and security hardening
