Pipefitter

About This Role

Assembling, installing, and replacing pipe systems and related components is the core of this role, which also involves installing plumbing fixtures. This position is for a Pipefitter who will work on the Tempe JGMWTP Project.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and install piping and tubing systems that conduct water, steam, air, and other fluids, solids, or gases in and around buildings and structures
• Install vacuum piping systems, drainage and sewage lines (laterals) from buildings to the point of attachment
• Handle and move materials and equipment to be used by plumbers, pipefitters, and steamfitters

Requirements

• 3-5 years of verifiable experience
• Experience in working with piping systems and fixtures; adequate knowledge of lengths and construction measurements for use of tools and machinery
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Ability to work in adverse weather conditions
• Ability to comply with all safety policies and procedures
• Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and supervisors to ensure projects are completed properly
• Strong work ethic and desire to learn
• Good manual dexterity
• Ability to be standing, bending, kneeling or sitting for long periods
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening
