Pipefitter

About This Role

Working on the WEGA/WB Casey WWRF Biosolids project, the Pipefitter will assemble, install, and replace pipe systems and related components, including those made of metal, plastic, ceramic, and composite materials. This role also involves installing plumbing fixtures and handling materials and equipment for various piping systems.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and install piping and tubing systems that conduct water, steam, air, and other fluids, solids, or gases in and around buildings and structures
• Install vacuum piping systems, drainage, and sewage lines (laterals) from buildings to the point of attachment
• Handle and move materials and equipment to be used by plumbers, pipefitters, and steamfitters

Requirements

• 3-5 years of verifiable experience preferred
• Experience in working with piping systems and fixtures
• Adequate knowledge of lengths and construction measurements for use of tools and machinery
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• May be required to work in adverse weather conditions
• Ability to comply with all safety policies and procedures
• Communicate effectively with co-workers and supervisors to ensure projects are completed properly
• Possess a strong work ethic and desire to learn
• Good manual dexterity
• May be standing, bending, kneeling, or sitting for long periods
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening
