Job Description We are seeking a full-time Radiation Oncology Physicist to provide expert medical physics support for radiation therapy services, including external beam, brachytherapy, SRS, and SBRT.
Support a collaborative, physician-partnered practice environment
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations (IEMA, NRC, ACR, DNV)
Oversee equipment acceptance, commissioning, calibration, and quality assurance programs
Develop and maintain departmental physics policies and QA procedures
Serve as Department Radiation Safety Officer, leading radiation safety and shielding initiatives
Collaborate with clinicians and staff to optimize treatment planning and delivery
Participate in quality improvement, safety meetings, and strategic planning
Assist with staff and student education and technical training
Support innovation, clinical projects, and program development within radiation oncology
Qualifications include a Master’s or PhD in Physics or related field, certification as a Specialist in Therapeutic Radiologic Physics (ABR), and licensure as a Radiologic Technologist – Radiation Therapy (IEMA).
Preferred experience in medical physics or a clinical setting is advantageous.
