Job Description Role Overview: A Comprehensive Medical Physicist in Radiation Oncology, Interventional Radiology, and Hospital Radiation Safety is responsible for ensuring the safe and accurate delivery of therapeutic ionizing radiation.
Key Responsibilities
Perform radiation measurements, analyze data, and verify dosimetry calculations.
Conduct treatment planning and QA procedures on radiation devices, ensuring compliance with ACR standards.
Maintain regulatory requirements related to radiation safety and therapy practices.
Provide physics support for multiple hospital units, including quality control of linear accelerators and radiation safety protocols.
Collaborate with physicians to develop and monitor treatment guidelines.
Oversee radiation safety measures hospital-wide, including dose monitoring and licensing of authorized users.
Manage Radiation Safety Committee activities, including scheduling and documentation.
Qualifications & Skills Master’s Degree in a related field.
Registered Therapeutic Radiation Physicist (IEMA) and Certified Specialist in Therapeutic Radiology Physics (ABR).
At least 1 year of relevant experience.
Strong ability to analyze radiation measurements and perform treatment planning.
