Physical Therapy Technician

About This Role

Working under the direct supervision of a licensed Physical or Occupational Therapist, the Physical Therapy Technician prepares treatment areas, assists patients with exercises, and performs basic prescribed treatments. This role is ideal for someone with excellent organizational skills and attentive insight who wants to make a significant impact on the lives of others in a service-based culture.

Responsibilities

• Prepare equipment and treatment areas for patient use
• Assist and/or observe patients perform prescribed therapy exercises and document patient responses to treatment
• Perform basic prescribed treatments such as applying ice packs and heat pads as instructed
• Clean and sanitize equipment and therapy areas, as well as change and launder linens
• Perform administrative tasks, including assisting with patient intake, answering phone calls and scheduling patient appointments
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Organizational detail and ability to multitask
• Proficient in the use of computers and learning new software programs
