About the role
Role Overview: The Physical Therapist Assistant supports patient rehabilitation by implementing treatment plans, providing exercise instruction, and educating patients to enhance their well-being.
Key Responsibilities
- Follow state-specific laws and the plan of care set by the supervising Physical Therapist.
- Instruct patients in active/passive exercises, gait, ADL, transfer, safety, and prosthetic training.
- Monitor and report patient responses and condition changes to the healthcare team.
- Educate patients, families, caregivers, and team members within scope of practice.
Qualifications & Skills
- Current licensure, registration, or certification to practice physical therapy assistance.
- CPR certification and a valid driver’s license with reliable transportation.
- Ability to work in diverse home environments and adapt to different patient needs.
- Physical capability for patient mobility tasks, including lifting and transferring.
