The Role - What You’ll Do Our Physical Therapy Assistants are key members of the care team, helping patients restore function, improve mobility, and enhance quality of life under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist in a collaborative, patient-focused environment.
- Provide direct physical therapy interventions to support patient recovery and outcomes.
- Assist with treatment planning, documentation, and communication of patient progress.
- Collaborate with patients and the care team to deliver compassionate, patient-centered care.
- Maintain a safe, efficient therapy environment following established protocols.
Qualifications - What We're Looking For
- 🎓 Graduation from accredited Physical Therapy Assistant Program
- ✅ Current State Licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant required
- ❤️ BLS/CPR Certification required
- 🏥 While 1 year of direct patient care experience in a rehabilitation hospital is preferred; new grads are encouraged to apply.
Physical Requirements - What You Need To Know
- A significant amount of standing, walking, bending, squatting, reaching, lifting, pushing, and pulling, often for prolonged periods of time.
- Both gross and precise motor functions.
- Lifting/exerting of up to 50 lbs.
- Possible exposure to bodily fluids.
- Visual acuity required for patient assessment and documentation of care.
- Acute hearing required for accurate patient assessment.
- Sufficient manual dexterity to operate equipment and computer keyboard.
