Role Overview: The Per Diem Physical Therapist Assistant provides treatment, exercise instruction, and patient education to improve patient well-being, following a plan of care under supervision.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform treatments within legal and professional scope, making recommendations to supervising PT.
- Instruct patients in exercises, gait, ADLs, transfers, safety, and prosthetic training.
- Observe, document, and report patient responses and condition changes, coordinating with healthcare team.
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers on therapy techniques.
Qualifications & Skills: Licensed or certified in physical therapy assistance, valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and availability for weekend work. Ability to handle physical tasks like lifting and transferring is required. CPR certification is preferred.
Compensation & Benefits: Total pay ranges from $23.80 to $109.30 per hour, including per visit and hourly pay. Benefits include comprehensive packages, recognition programs, stock purchase options, and 401k contributions.
