Role Overview: The Physical Therapist - Journey Traveler provides nationwide travel for 13-week assignments, delivering personalized rehabilitation services across various settings.
Responsibilities Include
- Assessing patient needs and developing individualized physical therapy programs to promote recovery and independence.
- Implementing therapy techniques such as therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, functional training, and use of modalities.
- Educating patients and caregivers on skills to enhance functioning and safety.
- Making referrals to other disciplines to ensure comprehensive care.
- Supervising support personnel and maintaining documentation of services.
- Ensuring a safe environment and proper equipment maintenance.
- Adapting treatment plans based on patient progress and needs.
- Collaborating with the rehabilitation team to optimize patient outcomes.
Qualifications & Skills
- Valid Physical Therapy license or eligibility in practice state(s).
- Master’s degree in Physical Therapy or related field, or Bachelor’s plus 5 years of experience.
- Ability to travel and reside temporarily in various locations.
- Evaluation of foreign degrees to U.S. standards if applicable.
