About the role
Role Overview: A physical therapist assesses, plans, and implements rehabilitative programs to enhance mobility, reduce pain, increase strength, and prevent deformities in patients with disease or injury. Services are delivered across the continuum, emphasizing quality, cost-effectiveness, and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Develops and revises treatment plans collaboratively with patients and families, providing education and discharge instructions.
- Conducts patient assessments, establishes and evaluates treatment goals, and plans discharge strategies.
- Documents evaluations, treatment sessions, and patient education in accordance with departmental standards.
- Maintains ethical practices, confidentiality, punctuality, and adheres to dress code and infection control protocols.
- Provides excellent customer service, applying communication principles like AIDET, fostering teamwork, and ensuring positive patient experiences.
- Participates in professional development, mandatory training, and mentorship for new staff.
- Performs additional duties as assigned, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and standards.
Qualifications & Skills
- Educational requirement: Doctorate, Master’s, or Bachelor’s in Physical Therapy.
- Licenses & Certifications: Licensed Physical Therapist and Basic Life Support (BLS) or BLS Instructor.
- Skills: Effective communication, customer service orientation, teamwork, and basic computer proficiency.
