Summary The Outpatient Physical Therapist is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating individualized therapy services for patients in an outpatient setting. This role ensures compliance with the Physical Therapy Practice Act while delivering safe, effective, and goal-driven interventions to support patient recovery and improved quality of life.
Responsibilities
- Gathers pertinent data from chart and other care givers; discusses with physician as necessary
- Independently assesses all patient types as assigned
- Demonstrates ability to recognize additional needs during evaluation; exercises good judgment in decision making when requesting, scheduling and/or performing additional testing
- Interprets results and formulates relevant, measurable, realistic and attainable goals
- Reassesses patient progress regularly per department and regulatory policy, or when need arises
- Identifies appropriate equipment, discusses with patient and family
Requirements
- Doctorate Prof
- LPT License in state of employment
- BLS
