Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced and highly creative Photo Stylist to lead styling execution across eCommerce, editorial, marketing campaigns, lookbooks, fashion presentations, and other brand initiatives. This role will be responsible for driving the styling process from concept to execution, ensuring all visual content aligns with the brand aesthetic and creative vision. This company is a founder led organization.
The ideal candidate will bring a strong fashion point of view, deep experience in eCommerce styling, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume production environment. They will serve as a key creative partner, collaborating cross-functionally to deliver elevated and commercially impactful imagery.
This role is 4-5 days/week onsite in the client's NYC office.
Key Responsibilities

Styling & Creative Execution
-
Lead styling for eCommerce, editorial, campaign, lookbook, and special project photo shoots.

Interpret creative direction and translate concepts into compelling, on-brand styling solutions.

Style merchandise, accessories, and props to create cohesive visual stories that support brand and business objectives.

Maintain and evolve styling standards and visual guidelines across all photography channels.

Partner with Creative leadership to develop fresh styling concepts that elevate brand positioning.

eCommerce Styling
-
Own styling execution for all eCommerce photography, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and adherence to brand standards.

Collaborate with Merchandising, Marketing, Creative, and Production teams to optimize product presentation.

Execute styling strategies that balance commercial objectives with a strong fashion perspective.

Ensure consistency across high-volume eCommerce productions while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.

Sample Management & Organization
-
Manage all sample requests, bookings, tracking, and organization for shoots, presentations, and styling sessions.

Oversee style-outs and ensure all products, accessories, and styling assets are prepared and production-ready.

Maintain sample inventory and coordinate logistics with internal teams and external partners.

Ensure timely returns and accurate tracking of all samples and styling assets.

Creative Development
-
Create styling boards, mood boards, inspiration decks, trend reports, and visual presentations.

Research emerging fashion trends, market insights, and competitive landscape to inform styling direction.

Contribute innovative ideas that enhance brand storytelling and visual impact.

Production & Shoot Support
-
Partner with Production and Creative teams to prepare and execute photo shoots and brand presentations.

Develop shot lists, style-out recaps, and pre-production materials.

Work closely with photographers, art directors, hair and makeup artists, producers, and talent to ensure seamless shoot execution.

Assist with on-set setup, styling maintenance, and post-shoot organization as needed.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Build strong working relationships across Creative, Marketing, Merchandising, and Production teams.

Effectively manage multiple projects and deadlines in a dynamic environment.

Support additional styling and creative initiatives as required.
Qualifications
-
6+ years of professional styling experience within fashion, retail, luxury, or contemporary brands.

Strong eCommerce styling experience, including high-volume product photography and digital content production.

Proven experience supporting editorial, campaign, lookbook, and marketing photo shoots.

Excellent understanding of fashion trends, styling techniques, visual storytelling, and brand aesthetics.

Bachelor's degree in Fashion, Merchandising, Design, or a related field preferred.

Physical Requirements

Ability to lift and transport garment racks, sample trunks, styling kits, and production materials as needed.

Ability to stand for extended periods during photo shoots and production days.

Comfortable working flexible hours when required to support production schedules and special projects.
