Personal Trainer

About This Role

This coaching role is for a Personal Trainer who wants to develop athletes, sharpen their craft, lead groups, and build relationships as part of an elite coaching culture. The position involves delivering exceptional training experiences across Scholastic, Adult, Personal Training, and Team Training programs.

Responsibilities

• Coach high-energy athletic performance group sessions
• Coach youth athletes ages 7–18
• Coach adult performance training sessions
• Deliver high-level personal training
• Coach sports teams and athletic groups
• Demonstrate and teach proper strength and movement technique
• Coach speed, agility, strength, power, conditioning, and mobility
• Modify exercises appropriately based on athlete ability and training needs
• Maintain athlete safety through proper technique and movement standards
• Start and finish every training session on time
• Assess athletes and help place them into the appropriate training program
• Track athlete development and maintain accountability
• Build meaningful relationships with athletes and families
• Maintain regular communication regarding athlete progress
• Provide a professional, energetic, and motivating training environment
• Maintain D1 facility and coaching standards at all times
• Deliver industry-leading instruction and education related to athletic performance

Requirements

• High school or collegiate sports background
• Previous experience coaching teams, groups, or athletic performance sessions
• Minimum 2 years of strength and conditioning, sports performance, group training, team training, or personal training experience
• Current CPR / AED / First Aid certification
• Strong knowledge of exercise technique, strength training, movement mechanics, and athletic performance
• Ability to confidently coach multiple athletes simultaneously
• Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
• Reliable, professional, coachable, and team-oriented
• Nationally recognized personal training certification such as NASM, NSCA, CSCS, or another comparable nationally recognized and accredited certification approved by management (ISSA certifications are not accepted)

Nice to have:

• Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Strength & Conditioning, Sports Performance, or a related field
• Collegiate athletic experience
• Previous strength and conditioning or sports-performance coaching experience
• Experience coaching youth athletes
• Experience working with competitive sports teams
• Experience delivering both group training and one-on-one personal training
• Experience with athlete assessments and performance testing
