About This Role
This Personal Banker position is responsible for providing a consistent customer experience, managing deposit accounts and safety deposit box services, and assisting with various banking transactions. The role also involves actively promoting and growing consumer credit products and guiding customers through the loan application process. This is a universal role with responsibilities across platform, vault, cash-line, and consumer lending.
Responsibilities
- Provide a consistent customer experience
- Open, modify, and close all types of deposit accounts and safety deposit box services
- Assist customers with account reconciliation, research requests, check orders, wire transfers, and debit card issues
- Seek opportunities to develop customer relationships and identify referral opportunities
- Actively promote and grow all consumer credit products, including real estate transactions
- Assist customers in the application process, gathering all required information for loan underwriting
- Communicate with customers throughout the credit process
- Handle sensitive information of the bank and customers in confidence
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Proficient computer skills and active engagement in new technology
- Excellent interpersonal communication and presentation skills (both written and oral)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to derive innovative solutions
- Demonstrate a "team" attitude toward the bank and coworkers
- Successful completion of in-house training and orientation
- Display a high degree of character and ethics
- Represent the bank in a professional manner within the community
- Professional dress and demeanor required
- Occasional travel to various locations for job-related business may be required
- Registered NMLS#
- Ability to assist customers with digital banking offerings
- Strong customer focus
- Ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously
Nice to have:
- Three years prior banking, sales, and/or customer service experience
- Three years prior consumer lending experience
- Bi-Lingual experience
